FILLERS
Barium sulphates, milled calcium carbonates, lithopone
1. Barium sulphates |
|
|
Barium sulphate, barite – it is a mineral with
the high content of BaSO4.
It is distinguished for its high resistance
against chemicals, for its high specific gravity the untreated
types are mainly used in drilling industry as flushing medium,
basic types are used for production of barite salts – lithopone,
blanc fix, etc., treated milled and bleached types are used
mainly as a filler for the production of paints, rubber,
floorings, mastics…
Mixtures of barium sulphates and zinc sulphate
(ZnS) are called lithopone. |

2.
Lithopone |
|
|
Lithopone is a white pigment
composed of ZnS and BaSO4. The lithopone gained its
characteristics of pigment from ZnS thanks to increased
refraction (2,37) while BaSO4 acts as a substratum.
With regard to very good
dispersion, high whiteness, optimal granulometry and also for
economic reasons (lithopone is in comparison with the titanium
dioxide and other pigment disproportionaly cheaper) it is used
for chromatosis of all paint systems, plastics, rubber and
mastics etc. |

3. Milled calcium carbonates |
|
|
|
|
|
Calcium
carbonate filler Omyacarb is pure white marble powder gained by
crushing, milling and sorting of natural crystallic lime stone.
It is used for production of paints, mastics,
rubber and plastic mixtures, construction materials, dispersive
and mineral plasters, fine ceramics, etc.

ORGANIC PIGMENTS |
Wide assortment of cost effective organic
pigments. For the choice of suitable type it is
necessary to know the application and required
resistance – i. e. light resistance, thermal endurance,
chemical stability, resistance against solvents. We will
be glad to advise you with the choice of suitable type. |
